2/6/05: OC units added. These are intended for SMUD plug-in hybrids and NEVs.
1/17/05: Avcon and two SPIs removed. No longer any Avcon here. Lot is now Employee Parking only.
8/20/04: No plans to restore charging stations near the front entrance.
1/7/03: A large truck ran into the stand with two conductive charging stations near the front entrance, shearing off the bolts. Those two charging stations have been removed, but there are three AVC in the rear circle area. SMUD is evaluating whether to repair and reinstall or not.
12/17/03: Problem resolved.
11/15/03: SPI in the front area, visitor spot, will not charge RAV4 EV. Goes to 0.0 then delay, and will not reset.
Driving directions:
Take the 65th St. exit (Exit 8) from US-50.
If you were on 50 West, go straight at the end of the exit to S St.
if you were on 50 East, turn left at the end of the exit and left again on S St.
SMUD Customer service center is on your right. Enter the driveway PAST the main entrance to gain access to the chargers.
Go to Google Local for driving directions to/and from any location, and to find points of interest.
How to find the charging station location once you have found the site:
All of the chargers are around the left end of the building, in the employee/visitor parking area, to your left as you proceed toward the rear of the building.

Things to do:
Not much, except to admire the lobby and grounds of this fairly new SMUD building. There are eateries about two blocks away,, though, near 65th St. & Folsom Blvd. Chevron mini-mart and restrooms 1/2 block away, on the other side of the street.

As of 1/16/04, there are no chargers in this area. All the chargers are in the rear area now.
