8/15/04: Chargers have been removed. A new building is about to be constructed in this area. The wall where the chargers were is scheduled for demolition.
Comments:
5 signed spaces; L14-30 in metal enclosures. Pay parking during business hours only.
Most locations on the UC Davis campus require parking permits, obtainable at ticket machines at the entrances to the lot.
Parking permits are required Monday through Friday 7am-10pm
Most EV spaces are marked for 4 hours maximum parking
UC Davis locations should be marked restricted parking, pay parking.
There is a request in progress to make EV parking free on the campus.
Driving directions:
Take old davis road
exit off Hwy 80 toward UC Davis, turn into
lot 46.
Academic Surge is located at the south side of central campus on the corner of La Rue Road and California Avenue.
La Rue Road is the main "U.C. Davis Campus Loop" road, which can be picked up from Russell Blvd., from Hutchinson Drive, or from the South entrance off I-80.
From I-80 West, exit via ramp at sign reading "U C Davis" and go West for 0.3 miles, then turn right on Old Davis Rd and go Northeast for 0.4 miles. Continue on California Ave and go North for 600 feet. Turn left on La Rue Road and go Southwest for 160 feet. Turn right into parking lot P46.
OR -- From I-80 East, exit via ramp at sign reading "U C Davis" and go Northeast for 0.7 miles, then turn left on Old Davis Rd and go Northeast for 0.5 miles. Continue on California Ave and go North for 600 feet. Turn left on La Rue Road and go Southwest for 160 feet. Turn right into parking lot P46.
