SPI charger replaced about 9/1/07. Problem reported below is fixed.

Driving directions:
From I580 take N. Livermore exit and travel south 2.1 miles. City Hall is a two toned gray building on your left.
From 680 take Vallicitos exit east towards Livermore. The road turns into Holmes. Follow Holmes to the light at Murrietta. Turn right onto 4th. Immediately bear right onto College. Follow College to S. Livermore Ave. Turn left and the City Hall will be on your right.
Go to Google Local for driving directions to/and from any location, and to find points of interest.
How to find the charging station location once you have found the site:
Chargers are located directly behind the flag poles in front, located between Library and Police Dept. in the Civic Center parking lot. There are two parking spaces marked "Electric Vehicle" and the cords just reach with NO slack for sharing or ICEing.
