9/02: Problems resolved. twd.
3/29/02, Ina Schlez: EV Drivers Alert!!! The Civic Center (McAllister at Polk) inductive charger is not currently operational. (The conductive charging station is fine.) The nearest charger is located at the Performing Arts Garage on Grove St. between Franklin and Gough. We anticipate the earliest date the charger will be operational is 4/5/02. However, this may change.

Comments:
6/8/03: Two sites here... Level 1, and Level 2, listed separately since you cannot see the sites from each other. Some contention from City of SF EVs.
5/02: SPI back in service.
4/15/02: JL visited. SPI not operational.
If you encounter a problem with the charger, you can leave the garage within the first 5 minutes and there is no charge for parking.
This policy also applies to Japan Center Garage in S. F. as well.
4/11/02: DD visited 5:30pm - Charger is still out of order, with a sign saying it will be back in service by April 5.

How to find the charging station location once you have found the site:
Level 1, near the elevators, on the same aisle as the elevators. Some are to the right as you face the elevators, and some are across the aisle from those.

Things to do:
Downtown San Francisco. Public Library, MUNI, BART, Cable cars, etc.
