7/10/03, Ed Huestis: I talked with Russ Johnson at Edison AgTac in Tulare yesterday via phone and he did confirm that they are only open from 0800 - 1700, Monday through Friday. Since the charging stations are now behind a fence with a locked gate, they are only accessible during those business hours. Russ did mention that they do have a Toyota RAV4 EV. They have an old conductive charger for the first version of the Toyota RAV4 EV, a large-paddle inductive charger, and a small-paddle inductive charger (TAL).
10/17/98 Darrell Singleton:
On a recent ev1 trip from Sacramento to Las Vegas, I was following a detour and came across an inductive charger in Tulare, CA. It is located at Edison AgTac 4175 S. Laspina Street, Tulare, CA 93274.
I was informed that it was a public charger and is available 24 hrs a day. The charger can only reach one parking space. This center contains many interesting energy exhibits to occupy your time. There are also restrooms and public telephones available. [However, see more recent note from Ed Huestis, above. -- Ed.]
